# The problem of the many, in the non-dual territory

Non-dual substrates ·

## Why it looked like it would break the theory

If boundaries are indeterminate everywhere, distinctions may appear merely approximate while the calculus states its dynamics categorically.

## Why it failed

**The counterexample failed** because approximation does not erase structure. A perspective yields a working boundary, and a fuzzy boundary still separates doubtful cases from clear cases. The phenomenon displays distinctions whose character changes with perspective and grain.
