# Seibt's non-transitive parthood

## Why it looked like it would break the theory

Seibt's General Process Theory allows a part of a part not to count as a part of the larger whole. If DSRP requires classical transitivity across all cases, the system pattern appears to fail.

## Why it failed

**The counterexample failed** because the examples shift the identity of the system, grain, or containment relation. A hand-clap is part of applause; a hand is part of the hand-clap, but not necessarily a selected part of the applause system at that grain. Once the DSRP structure is held constant, the apparent contradiction dissolves.
