Label a square's size. Presented alone, then beside a smaller one, then between a smaller and a larger. Scoring is which of four size labels was dragged — no DSRP category enters the coding.

### What they found (results)

'Square' 55.17% alone → 'large' 75.36% beside a smaller → 'medium' 81.77% between smaller and larger. The object never changed.

### Response

The single cross-pattern dependency claim established by measurement rather than derivation. It carries the forbidding argument, and it is why 'P affects D' is demonstrated while 'P always accompanies D' is not.
