# A demonstration that classical gravity does not produce entanglement

Schneider et al., 2026, Classical and Quantum Gravity — Physics

Patterns: [Distinctions](https://dsrpevidence.org/pattern/distinctions), [Relationships](https://dsrpevidence.org/pattern/relationships)

## In short

The finding turns on distinguishing classical from quantum gravity as the causal mediator of a relationship between two particles, ruling out one candidate relationship-carrier so that an observed correlation can be correctly attributed to something else.

## What they found (results)

A Newton–Cartan analysis shows that if gravity is purely classical, it cannot mediate or cause entanglement between two spatially separated massive particles, so any entanglement observed in a gravitationally-induced-entanglement experiment must be produced by some non-gravitational force.

These researchers were not testing DSRP. The finding is theirs; the correspondence to DSRP is drawn by this site.
