# Layer-engineered quantum anomalous Hall effect in twisted rhombohedral graphene

## What they found (results)

In twisted monolayer-plus-N-layer rhombohedral graphene stacks, the quantum anomalous Hall state's Chern number equals the layer count N (verified for N = 3, 4, 5), letting the topological invariant be programmed by adding or removing graphene layers.
