# Multilayer financial similarity networks and systemic firm centrality in China

## In short

The same set of firms yields different 'central' members depending on which measurement perspective (accounting layer) is used to build the network, showing that systemic importance is perspective-dependent rather than an intrinsic property of the firm.

## What they found (results)

In multilayer networks of Chinese and Hong Kong listed firms built from GLOBAL, RISK, and RETURN accounting-ratio similarity layers, average annual top-10 centrality overlap between layers ranged from just 1.33 to 5.50 firms, showing that which firms appear systemically 'central' depends on which accounting lens is used to construct the network.

These researchers were not testing DSRP. The finding is theirs; the correspondence to DSRP is drawn by this site.
